Common questions
How much waste should I add?
The default is 10%, which suits most straight-lay rooms. Diagonal layouts, herringbone or rooms with many corners often need 15% or more.
Where do I find sq ft per box?
It is printed on the box or the product page. Enter that number so the box count matches what you are buying.
My room is not a rectangle. What do I do?
Split it into rectangles, run each one, and add the boxes together. Or add up the square feet and use a slightly higher waste setting.
Does it include underlayment or trim?
No. It counts flooring boxes only. Underlayment, transitions and baseboard are bought separately.
